My happiness today is that I have friends coming over. I live with my parents during the summer time, and for years I have never liked hostessing at my parents’ place. During high school our house wasn’t the best arragement for teenagers hanging out who wanted some privacy and in college I assumed not many friends from school would want to come over to our house because a lot of my friends have had by dad as a professor. Potential awkwardness! So it feels nice to have friends who don’t mind they know my dad and a house where having folks over won’t intrude on my folks and it’s nice to be able to have people over and share with them.
